Encompassing six-bedrooms, a pool house and a cabana, this charming yet expansive property is home to a couple who sought a summer house on the island where the wife spent her childhood.  In contrast to the classic shingle exterior, the interior is fresh, light and understated, providing a tranquil and uplifting space to spend quality time with family and entertain friends.

Built in 1927, the main house had relatively low ceilings and dark wood floors. Our primary goal was to brighten the interiors and flood the rooms with natural light.  One of the most impactful changes came by way of painting all the floors white.  We kept the general palette neutral throughout, except for thoughtful interjections of seafoams and blues, complemented by natural materials such as linen and jute.  These selections enhanced the casual, coastal cottage feel - appropriate given the property’s proximity to the ocean and the relaxed nature of its owners.

Special artwork throughout includes pieces by Sally King Benedict, Ansley Ginvhan, Catherine Booker Jones, and Margaux Ogden.
